The ceiling light we received actually had more red and green in it than appears in the ad picture. We were worried that it might appear garish, but it didn't. The photo I've provided was taken with a flash with the light on in a darkened room. The fixture provides plenty of light in an indirect fashion which is what we wanted. It is in the dining area of our kitchen. We get many compliments on the beauty of it.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Picture does not do it justice. Absolutely beautiful illuminated. Very easy to install. Installed with dimmable fluorescent bulbs allowing variable effects.

I ordered this fixture to complement the Sonora Island light I had chosen. This fixture is installed over my kitchen sink, replacing a 2-bulb A19 60w fixture. It is stunning! Beautiful colors in the shade provide difuse lighting, but bulb light refracting off the white ceiling provide more than adequate lighting for the area. The fixture was easy to install, but pay attention to where you place the shades spring-arm to ease future bulb replacement.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
